Important Info

The SSO normally performs five concerts in its season; four at Bel Air High School on a Saturday evening, and the fifth concert performed the first Sunday in June at the Humbert Memorial Band Shell behind the Bel Air library. Please arrive early to help set up and stay after to remove chairs and stands from the stage. We need to be out of the school by 10 pm.

All members are asked to sign a SSO Personnel Contract every year to ensure that we have enough musicians for each concert. Please give a signed copy of this to Amy Wilkinson before or at the 1st rehearsal.

Concert Dates and Dress Rehearsals – 2017-2018 Season:

Tuesday Rehearsal Schedule at HCC’s Joppa Hall, 7:00-9:15 unless otherwise noted:

• First rehearsal: Tuesday, August 29
• No rehearsal October 31st
• No rehearsal December 3 – January 8 inclusive.
• In 2018 rehearsals begin on January 9th.
• Rehearsals in January to March may run late depending on the weather.

We will follow HCC closing policy. If you are not comfortable driving in bad weather please don’t.

Board Meeting Minutes

Board Meetings are held approximately 2 weeks prior to each concert. All musicians are invited to attend. Minutes can be found here.
